Central Utah Food Sharing Annual Holiday Food & Fund Drive

Central Utah Food Sharing asks public to use any bag to bring non-perishables to its location

Central Utah Food Sharing will be having their annual Holiday Food & Fund Drive December 9th and runs through January 15, 2018.

“This important campaign helps stock the shelves all year long,” said Roene Shaw, CUFC Director.

Different this year, Central Utah Food Sharing is working to reduce waste by not distributing donation bags. Instead, on December 9th they’re asking residents to please have a bag set out that will be visible from the street, and youth groups will be there to pick them up. However, if you are missed, donations can take non-perishables directly to Central Utah Food Sharing which is located at 2050 South Industrial Park Rd. in December. Their hours are Saturday, December 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. or Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

“Hunger is such a critical need for our community to address,” said Shaw. “One of every five kids in Utah risk missing a meal today due to lack of resources. We work to make sure those in our county get enough to eat.  This time of year is one of hope and joy for so many people, but it can also be a tremendous strain for those who don’t have enough to eat.  The donations we receive through the Holiday Food & Fund Drive will help residents in Sevier County and across the state well into 2018.”
